The Salty Parrot - July 2024: New Features Ahoy!

Ahoy, me hearties! I've been busy as a bilge rat this July, bringing ye a treasure trove of new features for The Salty Parrot. Hoist the mainsail and prepare to explore these exciting additions to yer favorite Pirate Borg Discord bot!

🏴‍☠️ New Commands

1. !loot: Ye can now use this command to generate a "Loot the Body" result (Pirate Borg pg. 3). Perfect for when ye've defeated a scurvy dog and want to see what booty they've left behind! 
2. !treasure: Uncover "Buried Treasure" with this new command (Pirate Borg pg. 118). Who knows what riches or cursed items ye might find? 
3. !insult: Need a witty retort for that landlubber who's been givin' ye trouble? Use this command to generate a pirate-themed insult that'll leave 'em speechless! This be the Parrot's own creation, inspired by the format of a Shakespearean Insult Generator.
4. !relic: Discover "Ancient Relics" with this command (Pirate Borg pg. 62). Each relic comes with its own unique power and mystery. 
5. !ritual: Dabble in the arcane arts with this new command. Generate "Arcane Rituals" and see what mystical effects ye can conjure (Pirate Borg pg. 64)!
6. !gain_experience: When yer pirate levels up, use this command for "Gaining Experience" and see what new skills or treasures they might acquire (Pirate Borg pg. 33).
7. !thing or !TOI: Generate that special "Thing of Importance"  - a unique item that might play a crucial role in yer adventures (Pirate Borg pg. 60).

📊 Character Ability Scores

I've added a new feature to help ye keep track of yer pirate's abilities and quickly make abilities roles based off of them:

• !mystats_set: Use this command to set or update yer character's ability scores. The format be like this:
  !mystats_set <strength> <agility> <presence> <toughness> <spirit>
  Each score should be between -3 and 6. For example: !mystats_set 3 -1 0 1 2
• !mystats_view: This command will show ye the current ability scores for yer character.
• Rolling Ability Tests: Once ye've set yer scores, ye can make ability tests, automatically using your stored ratings,  using these commands:
  • !rollstrength or !rs: Make a Strength test
  • !rollagility or !ra: Make an Agility test
  • !rollpresence or !rp: Make a Presence test
  • !rolltoughness or !rt: Make a Toughness test
  • !rollspirit or !rsp: Make a Spirit test

Ye can add an optional, additional modifier to the end of these rolls. For example, !rs 2 will make a D20 roll, plus your Strength test, and add an additional a +2 modifier.

Remember, ye scurvy dogs, to use !mystats_help if ye need a reminder on how to use these commands!

🦜 Quality of Life Improvements

• I've added better error handling, so if ye try to use a command that doesn't exist, the bot will kindly let ye know and remind ye to check !help for available commands.
• The !roll command has been commanded to walk the plank and to silently ignore any inputs, preventing conflicts with other bots that might use similar dice rolling commands.
